The couple was having problems with their two dogs, Sadie (4-year old German Pointer) and Lola (7-month old Vizsla puppy). Lola was in last week, so now it’s Sadie’s turn. I find Sadie is not hyper like Lola…She is an older and calmer dog, and just needs an obedience refresher.

The parents are regularly practicing with both dogs at home now, and since Sadie’s needy areas are easily addressed, together we decide to concentrate on working with Lola.

Yesterday I introduced Lola to big dogs. Whereas before she displayed fear and aggression around other dogs, this time around the larger dogs there was no aggression, Lola was submissive, and she showed no fear. This was a pleasant change of behavior, and she will be coming in for another session today.
